The object of the Friendship Tours project is to foster goodwill and friendship amongst Rotarians worldwide, as well as to promote a better understanding of South Africa, its peoples and their cultures.
Since this project was started in 1985, more than 600 Rotarians from 18 different countries have visited South Africa on these tours and lasting friendships have been made across the globe.
Rotarians worldwide are invited to participate in RIFT South Africa No 36. Three nights will be home hosted by local Rotarians in Knysna in the heart of the beautiful Garden Route with opportunities during the tour for Rotary fellowship with other Clubs.
Tour leaders from the Knysna Rotary Club will be Rtn Louise Pannell and Rtn Vicky Tricker. Louise, who is a registered National Tour Guide for South Africa, has been leading these groups for 28 years.
